Samsung Tab that does not turn ON

Recently I bought this Korean assembled Samsung Galaxy Tab Note 8.  Therefore its not ORIGINAL and I have to bear with the quality of the product.  I bought it since the network signal of Smart is stronger than my original Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (free from my Smart Unlimited Data Postpaid Account).  The Korean made tab has a wide screen and is best for my lectures in powerpoint presentation where I can review and study anywhere I go and so with other documents.

Just today, I got mad of it since it did not turn ON and for the past days it has been experiencing automatic turn off without turning on afterwards.  After searching the internet for possible troubleshooting, I came across with a forum that discussed solutions to my problem and they said:

1. Press and hold the power button 10 seconds.
2. Press and hold both power and volume down buttons for 10 seconds, then release vol. down button while holding down power button for another 10 seconds, before releasing.
3. Plug to PC and wait to be recognized.
4. Take out the battery so that Samsung can fully discharge so this should help reset replug the battery.

It worked for my unit and hope this will help you too./

Help Burauen, Leyte

November 8, 2013 when Typhoon Yolanda hit the Philippines with Tacloban City as the center.  Burauen, Leyte which is my hometown was one of the towns in Leyte that was devastated in which hundreds of families are homeless, sick and starving. We are still blessed since only few casualties was recorded in our town as compared to Tacloban City and other towns in Eastern Samar.

My fellow Burawanons need your help be it monetary and in-kind donations as well as prayers. I am a member of an online group that collects donations for the victims. Just look for Online Katilingban in facebook or you may send me your email at acerakihamptonpartulan@gmail.com for additional info.  We will forever be grateful to any assistance you could offer.

Reminiscense

Seeing this picture makes me teary eyed since reminiscing the last happy moments with my mother is the only way I can do to bring back all the memories.  I never thought January 2010 would be the last New Year I could celebrate with Nanay Lucy and we were together in my company headquarters in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon with my nephew Ace Raki Hampton who was about to turn 5 years old that year.  Happy was our New Year even with just the three of us together plus the two dogs and a cat that served as my companions.  And the joy we had was extended until we came home to Burauen to spend my vacation with my twin brother and his family.

I had so many memories with Nanay and Tatay.  Marlo and I grew up with no yaya or nanny.  Nanay took care of us while Tatay was in the farm.  As we grew older, we go together to the farm to plant crops and during harvest time, we sell our produce in the neighborhood.  In school, I was always on the top of the class, a reason for my parents to be honored.  But Tatay and Nanay never managed to go up stage during graduation and recognition ceremonies because they don't want to cry.  My Lola Meyang, Nanay Fe and Nanay Elit were always my suki to pin the ribbon and award the medals during ceremonies.  When I was already a soldier, I always ask Nanay to do things for me as my paglalambing.  She massages my tired feet from running and walking during operations, washes my clothes even I don't want her to do it, cooks food like ginataang langka, beef steak and inihaw na isda that I requested when I am going home for the weekend.  Going to the market during market day was also an opportunity to spend time with Nanay who would always say that everything I bought were all expensive but I kept on telling her that in Manila the price is doubled so I have to take advantage.  My father was a guitarist and keyboard player.  During weekends with them, our house is somewhat like a music house with Tatay in the guitar, me in the keyboard and Nanay as the singer.  My twin brother seldom visit our home because of his job.

Looking at the face of my nephew in the picture above, he is cute as cute as he is now at the age of 8.  During my visit to Nanay when she was already bedridden in a hospital in Burauen, Leyte, she had no other request but for me to take care of her favorite grandchild being the first "apo" from my twin brother Marlo.  Of course, a wish from a mother who was about to leave cannot be ignored and so I promised to take charge of Raki.   The kid is with me since 2011 and I enrolled him in a private school.  At 8 years old, he is independent.  Knowing my  job, he can be trusted alone in my quarters with the three dogs enjoying the vacant time watching TV, drawing, doing puzzles, molding clays and many more.  Although he is pasaway kung minsan, I love him so much.  Hoping and praying we can be together forever even when I grow old.

My parents are both in heaven.  Tatay died in 2005 and Nanay in 2010 but their memories are still fresh.  I know they visit us from time to time comforting me when I am in distress and Raki when suffering from asthma attacks and guiding us both where ever we go.  Thanks Nanay and Tatay, we miss you so much.  Until we meet again.:-*

A Song For Mine:-))

(This has become one of my favorite song since our Chaplain taught us as the recessional for a Sunday mass.  Keeping my fingers crossed to sing this to a very special person in the near future.)

Covenant Journey

Let me walk with you, as I journey to this land
Searching for a meaning as each moment passes by
Let the hand of time be like footprints in the sand
As I carry you from the dawn to the setting sun.

Chorus:

With just one hand we can travel far together
One's life sharing in love
I will hold you forever
Yes, I love you with all my heart.

There'll be many crossroads as we walk  along the way
There'll be many questions as we live life day by day
This will never matter if the Lord will always be there
He will surely find the answers 'coz he cares

Repeat Chorus:

Yes, I love you with all my heart.

Back for good:-)

I have been busy for the past months doing office works, choir rehearsals and meetings but the most busy days were spent cleaning, painting and fencing my new quarters. However, despite of my hectic schedule, I find time for myself thanks Mine for coming into my life. You are God's gift to me. Hope to know you more. New home, brand new life.

2013 National Women's Month

This year's theme "Kababaihan: Gabay sa Pagtahak sa Tuwid na Daan" is tailored from PNoys vision of tuwid na daan for the Philippines by acknowledging the role of women in nation building. As the GAD Officer of my unit, I drafted a plan for its observance that was luckily approved by the command.

The celebration was held on March 20, 2013 at the Armor Function Hall that as attended by military personnel, civilian employees and dependents. The Keynote Speakes was no other than the Division Commander of Light Armor Division. Lectures on the legal mandates of the activity as well as GAD related laws were discussed by Atty Liza Olinares.  Likewise, Father LD Labrilla, Post Chaplain discussed the Role of Women at Home, in School and Church.

Mabuhay ang ating mga kababaihan!

My nephew graduated in prep on March 21, 2013 from Siena Montessori School of Tarlac and I was so excited about it. His graduation is the best accmplishment I have for 2012 for at last I was able to help my twin brother send his child to school. To my dearest handsome boy, congratulations! Awesome January!

Many months of January have passed all with good and bad memories worth remembering to shape us in the future.  As we start with 2013, fncially speaking, we are often drained on January because we overspent during the month of December either buying presents for our families and even for ourselves as rewards for the whole year efforts to work for a living and excel in our respective endeavors.  Shall we allow this practice every now and then until we drop?

New Year's resolution are always in our notes, some were accomplished and others were not.  We  always include in our list how we should deal with our finances for the year such as to spend only for things we need and not on the things we want.  But how can we spend if we don't have some to spend?  Well, well, well.  I am earning as a government employee that sustains our daily living but because of the inflation rate, prices of all goods are getting high.  I must thank the online program that gives me at least $15 daily.

I am referring to the RicanAdFunds.  With a minimum of $15 investment that could  give you 2% earnings a day for 125 days, you can be financially stable.  Remember, the more you plant, the more you reap so as early as now, invest your hard earned money and earn like what we internet marketers earn.  To join, just click http://www.ricanadfunds.com/?rakikulot

Happy earning!
